Complete Fully Converted 'Pegged Differential' Casing Assembly For Standard LONG NOSE Differentials

These heavily modified Land Rover Long Nose casings offer a massive increase in strength, (Watch the Technical Video in Video section for an explanation of how they work). With the Modifications 24mm of CNC Machined Steel plate is specially welded into place, milled, drilled and tapped M16. These holes then hold the supplied Dog Bolts and special Phosphor Bronze Pad which supports the CW&P from flexing and seperating. We have had just two of these fail out of 509 sold where the Crownwheel was so overloaded it sheared the teeth off the base plate ! On the basis that nothing is unbreakable, this unit + a HD CW&P set properly built up is going to be as good as you can get in a Land Rover axle !. Complete Fully Converted 'Ultimate HD Pegged Differential' Casing Assembly For Standard LONG NOSE Differentials

Our 'Standard' Pegged Differential Casings offer massive increases in strength - (watch the video in the video section if you haven't already), but, following a yard clearance we have some extremely early LR Casings (late 40s and very early 50s) , where the internal bearings are all significantly Bigger - and Bigger Bearings = Stronger Differentials. As an example of just one of the internal bigger bearings - even with our 'Standard' Pegged Casings, LRs Pinion Bearings are quite small and still can be a early failure area. These very very early Casings have huge Pinion Bearings compared to ALL other LR Casings - see the picture to compare. Over the years LR have changed the design and metal composition of their Casings, and, in simple terms each 'later version' is inferior to the previous one(s).

Even with our 'Standard' Pegged Casings we will only use early 10 and 24 Spline Casings with the 'Locking Plates' into the adjuster rings, they are hard enough to keep stock of - but - we think they are the best to use for our 'Pegged Casings' - until now - these 'Ultimates' are in a different league.

There is (as always) one downside - these 'Ultimate' Pegged Casings WILL NOT HAVE A FLAT on the base to bolt anything to, other than that we can build with any LR Long Nose Center and any LR make of CWP / Ratio to these 'Ultimte' Pegged Casings. We have obtained enough Casings to decide to have their own special conversion plates CNC cut to enable us to convert them, the Casing in the picture was Prototype No 1 - where we made modified plates and a new Jig - just to make sure we could do it, and it worked. It was built with a HD Ashcroft CWP and a Hi Spec Ashlocker

We will not be selling these on their own, they are all reserved as upgrades for customers who wish, while we can, to offer a 'Ultimate' HD Pegged casing over and above our 'Standard' Unit. We will have stock by 1st Nov 19 - Ring to chat if you have questions

Xcess 4x4 'Tab_Lock' Upgrades for Ashcroft Lockers + ARB RD03 and RD56 Lockers

Quck lesson on 'Steel Bolts' and 'Tensile Strength'. It's called 'The Glass Bolt Paradox' ... and it goes like this ....
Steel, has a tensile strength, higher grades means higher tensile strength. But, GLASS has a higher structural tensile strength than Steel. So why are bolts not made out of glass ?. Because they would shatter. Simples. (A full web page on this producwill be coming shortly)

Our Upgrade to Ashlockers - backed, approved, and supported by Dave @ Ashcroft, (we also do this for ARB RD03 and RD56) is we, machine 'End Flanges' of 'Ashlockers' / 'ARBs' adding 10 x Oval 'Bolt Lock Slots', then add 10 x special Xcess 4x4 'Tab_Locks' allowing a LOWER Grade 10.9 3/8 1.1/8 UNF CR6 Grade 'S' Bolt + special washers torqued up with Shear Plates now locking CWP Bolt heads in position, allowing some stretch via a slightly less brittle bolt, it can't undo, as all Bolts are now held in tension AND in shear.

These are £88 for the Ashlocker (Exchange), and £216 for ARB (Outright). We ONLY sell these on our Differential Builds as upgrades we do NOT sell as a DIY Kit

' New (Ex Display) ARB RD138 24 Spline Air Locker for 'Wolf' 'P38' 'Short Nose' (110 130 Rear)

We buy in all sorts of Differentials !. This is one - an Ex Display ARB RD128 Center for the 'Short Nose' Differentials on TD5 110 rears 'Wolf Diffs' or 'P38 Diffs'

This is brand new but Ex Display, it has never ever been built up, and being ex display the Air Ring had been lost along with all the other fittings LOL. Also very unusally, but desireable - is this center has been built up with a superb low mileage 'Dana' Crown Wheel + Pinion. These Dana CWPs are just stunning quality vs the normal LR CWPs, they turn up now and again but they always make for a silent diff, and this is just that and with a classic blue check pattern.

It's had our full 'Ultra Build Spec Build', and it comes complete with the 'Short Nose' version of our 'Super Pinion Flange', plus a proper upgrade to the external 'air coupler' via one of our stainless swivelly push fittings to replace the ghastly ARB set up !.

Brand Spanking New GD T2 ATB - Complete with it's own 'Build Video'

In 40 Years of off roading I have never ever seen one of these - heard of them yes, never seen one.....
Then one day I had a call, and I had to buy it. It is BRAND NEW and I have had it for 2 years sitting on my bench with me admiring it as a thing of wonder - which did seem after 2 years to be a bit of a waste !.

So, what is a GD T2 ?
Its a ATB, but, it is reputely the strongest fastest working smoothest ATBs ever made.
The story is on the video, but in summary it was made by a very clever designer, who didn't get his numbers right. By the time it was made, and entered in to LR SV Dept as a possible HD upgrade the sheer price killed it ever being a top seller. Sadly his costs in development and production were so high he had to recoup losses - so sold the design rights and units to a company called 'Tor-Sen' who equally agreed it was fantastic, but too expensive to produce commercially, and it stopped further production.

'Tor-Sen' later became Torsen and you can see some of this design in other Torsen units.
Do I want to sell it ? ...Not really lol, but equally its now sitting on my bench fully built, for me to admire !.

We did it proud and built it suitably OTT. Its in my 500th Pegged Casing, with not only a Full UltraBuild but a Brand New HD 3.5 Ashctoft CWP, Superflanged and ready to fit. It is a piece of history, and if I was still racing I would have it in my racer in a flash, but, be aware that even though this is stupidly strong nothing is unbreakable, and parts are 'Impossible'. But, to balance this comment there is still £250 worth of Pegged casing £240 of CWP and £200+ build pricing in the sale price, so its really down to the buyer to decide if like me 'Just have to have it'.

......As to if the buyer actually fits it ....or has in on display to admire on their coffee table ...Ah well...... 😊

So, here it is and watch the video ...and if and when its sold - we are unlikely we will have another for some time...or more likely EVER !.

'Second Hand' 'Refurbished' 'Preloved' 'Used' ... Whatever you want to call them ... Consider these !

Whilst it would be lovely to have custom built, Brand New Pegged Ashlockers, with Heavy Duty Crown Wheels and Pinions - etc, not everyone can afford or justify the costs.

And we know this !. So, whenever possible we like to offer a selection of Used Differentials. All of these go through our workshops, and are rebuilt to the highest standards we can achieve, and built up to our 'Ultra Build Specification', the same as all our new Differentials. These Differentials have all been completely stripped to their smallest conponmet parts, every part checked, replaced if required and finally re-assembled. It is fair to say some customers have commented that these look like new - and that's why we are happy to put our name on them.

Yes they are 'Used' 'Secondhand', whatever your want to call them, but these offer a significant cost saving and give people the opportunity to upgrade which otherwise could be outside their budget. Often you will see comments relating to whats been replaced inside the units, and sometimes pictures too. As we have stripped cuddled polished and given them some proper love before the next new owner .... we called them 'Pre Loved' lol ( Yes, we need to get out more )

This was pretty much an abandoned KAM project back in the 80s, when they decided to concentrate on 24 spline Differentials, leaving this project on the shelf !.
Recently we bought in a huge amount of stock, including these brand new unused project units. Here we have built up 2 x them. We have had to have some CNC internals made as these were never actually finished, so here we are in 2018 project finished ! This unit offers a significantly stonger differential, and at a very attractive price, and as you would expect built up to our normal 'Ultra Build Spec'

This is a really nice VERY VERY low mileage Land Rover 4 Pin, which is made all the more desirable and stronger by the solid cross shaft (see pictures).

Its been completely stripped checked over, cleaned, and as you can see in the pictures frankly the condition is amazing !. The 4 Pin centers are much stronger the the standard 2 pin units - this, with its special cross shaft takes it to an even stronger level, and even though its been fully rebuilt to our normal Ultra Build spec - including being 'Superflanged' - it represents a really nice great condition strong unit suitable for road or competition use without breaking the bank !.

Taken P/ex by a customer against a new Ashlocker its been completely stripped clean and rebullt, being out of an Ashcroft Pegged casing the center has bee reduced to fit an ashcroft casing (ours do not need this alteration) but makes no difference as it is now Built up into a standard casing ready to fit.

The 3 x cross standard shafts have been replaced by a New Xcess 4x4 one piece 'Forged Cross Shaft', plus a set of Hi Flow Thrust Washers, full Ultra Built and complete with our superflange conversion.

The end flange (as shown in the picture) shows previous damage in its life (prob a broken crownwheel), but having had it completely apart, and then rebuilt other than appearance it has no effect on the finished differential - in fact this has got 6 Thou backlash with ZERO run out - on any of the 4 test quradrants !

So much of this is new !. From buying in the vast stock following Crown Diffs retiring we have looked and found we have enough for this unit !

New flanges each end + New Thrusts on all the Gearsets + New Gearset + Upgraded bolts and ..etc etc it's near new.
It's all now built up and is with our normal ultrabuild into one of our new Pegged Casings, with a good used checked and cleaned 3.54:1 Ratio, and of course a superflange.

A significant saving over new....and ...sadly the new KAM / Allmakes 4 pins centers no longer have these massively strong forged cross shafts that this has :( ... but ....being 'Old KAM' it does have the old superb 'Forged Cross Shafts' making this pretty much in our opinion one of 'the' stongest 4 pin Differentials ever made, especially when it's built up into one of our Pegged Casings..Truly Fab unit - not to be confused with the current new offering. To clarify, these are the units fitted to Late TD5 110 and 130s Rear axles (standard Long Nose in the Front Axles), P38 Range Rovers Front and Rear and Wolf Military Land Rovers.

We are being asked more and more to offer these as rebuilt units, so here is one. These are super strong and this one has also been built up and now has the benifit of one of our own 'Pegged Casings' for additional strength still completely stripped down to conponent parts, innspected cleaned and reassemabled with new parts and upgraded 12.9 bolts on centre + Ultra Spec Build, and with the 'Short Nose' version of the 'Super Pinion Flange'.

'Pre Loved' Rebuilt 4 Pin 'Wolf' 'P38' 'Short Nose' Differential + Forged Cross Shaft + New 3.54 CWP and PEGGED

This is pretty much the 'Ultimate' we can do to a Short Nose 110 Rear 4 Pin Differential.

This is a 'Take Out' Center from 726 mile Puma 110 Rear Axle, even so, its center has been stripped cleaned checked - and then massively upgraded streength wise with one of our Xcess 4x4 Super-strong 'Forged Cross Shafts'.

The 'Forged Cross Shaft' is one solid piece of extremely high grade metal, and replaced the 'Twin Shafts' which are fitted as standard - the problem with the twin shafts is, ( as you will see in the picture) - to get one over the other requires 50% of the shaft to be cut away - making these prone to shattering

Before the full 'Ultra Build, the modified Center has been added to by a Top of the ramge ' A & M Gears' New 3.54 CWP, stronger than the standard favtory unit, and then on top of all of this added to one of our 'Pegged Casings', along with our Super Flange upgrade

Pretty much this is as strong and as good as we can possibly make and Land Rover 110 / P38 / Wolf 4 Pin Rear Differential, and its turned out a real beauty of a diff. This would be superb and strong for towing, racing or where you are carrying seriously heavy loads and want to have the strongest 4 Pin Unit in your Rear that you can get - here it is !"

Pre Loved Fully Built up ARB RD56 24 Spline + 3.54 CWP but built into an Imperial Casing

These are hugely Popular Lockers, and are an exellent locker if you can't justify the costs of a new unit. Although this might be old it's in really good condition. It's been completely stripped cleaned and reassembled with new thrusts piston new Cage new seals, and looks superb all then Rebuilt to Ultra Build Spec with a 3.54 CWP.

On this unit we have built it into an 'Imperial Casing' - this simply means it has a filler plug on the casing where on early LR they don't have the filler on the axle diff pan. Will fit either version, but fitting a Metric Unit - with no filler plug on it to a early axle with no filler plug on it can be 'Exciting' when oil needs to then be added ! Available either on its own, or, complete with New Soleniod, new Air Pipe and all new Fittings.

Pre Loved Fully Built up ARB RD56 24 Spline + 3.54 CWP + Xcess 4x4 HD End Flange

This RD56 benifits from having one of our Heavy Duty End flanges which makes for a much stronger differential !.

After being completely stripped, the new HD Flange added, we also put in new Seals, New Center Cage, new Hi Flow Xcess4x4 Thrust Washers, upgraded the center tube bolts to 12.9 Grade, and then with a full Ultra Build spec added it to a 3.54 CWP in a standard Casing with our Upgraded push fit system for the external air connection.

These Lockers are often completely overlooked by customers looking to have a locker without breaking their bank - often overlooked becuase they are old and many in appalling condition through over use misuse and lack of maintenance.

Whilst this is true, these remain one of our favourite units, once properly sorted out and rebuilt properly they offer a lot of locker for really what is a small amount of £s vs Ashlockers etc. Don't dimiss these, they are great, look at the picture - this is probably 30+ years old, but some can live again with our help !. ..but not all...some sadly we have to put down LOL

'Pre Loved' Rebuilt ARB RD138 24 Spline Air Locker for 'Wolf' 'P38' 'Short Nose' 110 130 Rear Differential

This is a ARB RD138 (ARBs Current Model) Air Locking Differential for the other type of Land Rover Differentials known as 'P38 Diffs', or 'Wolf Diffs' or 'Short Nose Diffs'
To clarify, these are the units fitted to Late TD5 110 and 130s Rear axles (vs standard Long Nose in the Front Axles which are the ARB RD128s), P38 Range Rovers Front and Rear and Rear 110 and 130 Wolf Military Land Rovers.

Pre Loved Ashlocker + 3.54 CWP + Pegged ' Big Bearing' Casing + High Flows + Oil Vane Upgrade + New Air System + Rear Build - Can be converted to Front FOC

Now, this is rather special, even for a Pre Loved Ashlocker. !

This is a rather rare 'Big Bearing' Long Nose casing, these are very early - pre 1950s, and will still fit any LR Long Nose axle, with a small warning that unlikke the later weaker casing they DO NOT have a flat on the base to bolt to !. Other than that these are a standard fitment to a axle casing. The reason these are sort after and special is these casings have big bearings, and therefore stonger. Additionally the casings are thicker, heavier and have a removable end flange so changing pinion seals becomes a doddle to do !.

This is anything but a simple build, it requires us to custom make the Pegging System as the casing dimensionally has more webbing for more strength, and alterations to allow an ashlocker to be fitted vs the punny 10 spline 50s center that once lived it there. We rarely build these as they are a 2 day build, but we thought as we had a really nice ashlocker pre loved and rebuilt, it would be good to do - so here it is.

It's a cracker of a Pre Loved Ashlocker !

SPF (Super Pinion Flange) Replacement Heavy Duty Pinion Flange Kits for all Long Nose Differentials

The 'Super Pinion Flange' is a completely unique solution to the age old problem of Land Rovers various (dreadful) Pinion Seals and Shields.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY If you're unable to potentially 'fettle' them to fit. Due to minor variations in LR Casings they may NOT always be a 100% straightforward fit.

Kit 1 - 'Castle Nut' Kit
Pinions with a Castle Nut + Split Pin is this Kit. It will also fit the 4 Spline older Flanges and the later 24 Spline.
Kit comprises of a SPF Aliuminum Flange, New Corteco Pinion Seal, new 'Castle Nut' and Split Pin.

Kit 2 - 'Central Bolt' Kit.
Pinions with a 'Bolt' screwed into the end means you have Kit 2. Pinions may be Round or Square - fits either.
Kit comprises of a Xcess4x4 SPF Aliuminum Flange, New Corteco Pinion Seal, and a new 'Pinion Bolt'

Kit 3. - 'Nyloc' Kit.
On Differentials with a 'Nyloc' nut on the end of the Pinion, including Discovery 2 '3 Bolt Flanges' this Kit.
Kit comprises of a Xcess4x4 SPF Aliuminum Flange, New Corteco Pinion Seal + new 'Nyloc'.

Kit 4. - TWO of any of the above Kits - 'Mix n Match' !
If you would like to buy a Pair of SPFs then Kit 4 is the one to buy.
You can have 2 x of whichever Kit(s) you need - just advise on payment as to which ones you would like - and yes, you can have different ones,
as sometimes the front and rear Differentials may need different kits. With Kit 4 buying 2 also gives you a small discount.

Kit 5. - A Full Super Flange Kit (has all 3 Pinion end types) + NEW 'Round Type" Late Pinion Flange - Pressed on ready to fit !
Here you get as in the Picture - A New 'Late Type' Pinion Round Type Drive Flange, with one of our Superflanges already pressed on ready to fit, and the new seal, and ALL 3 x Pinion end fittings

Kit 6. - A Pair - i.e. 2 x Full Kit 5s as above.
That's 2 x New Round 'Late Type' Drive Flanges, both with new seals, all 3 x pinion end fittings, and 2 x of the SPF pressed on all ready to fit.

Kit 7. - A New SQUARE 4 Spline Drive flange (Early LR Differentials) + new SPF Fitted Inc Seal etc
On Earlier Land Rover Differentials, the pinion has a 'Coarse' 4 Spline vs the later 24 Spline version. This Kit is for 1 x Square coarse 4 spline Drive Flange with a SPF Fitted, and comes with new seal etc.

Kit 8. - A Pair of New SQUARE 4 Spline Drive flange (Early LR Differentials) + new SPF Fitted Inc Seal etc
That's 2 of 'Kit 7' - ie 2 x Square coarse Drive Flanges, both with new seals, and 2 x of the SPF pressed on all ready to fit.

Xcess Billet Machined Replacement for ARB RD03 + RD56 Air Flange Plate - Part Numbers 030120 or 030131 - INCLUDES New Timken Bearing

Our new RD03 and RD56 'Air Flange End Plates' replace the standard weak forged units, both of which are now 'no longer available'.

These are a direct replacement for either offering vastly increased strength, along with fixing the common issue of "the odd air leak ....or 6" ..?. These are CNC Machined from a solid billet of High Grade EN Heat Treated Steel, and, being significantly stronger these are far far more resistant to 'O Ring Grooving' on the Air Journal.

There are options which you need to study to ensure you order the correct kit.

For RD56 24 Spline units - Part Number 030131, you need 'Kit 1'. This is a new Xcess4x4 Air Flange complete with a New Timken Bearing 6 x 12.9 Upgraded Bolts and 2 x New ARB Air Seals.
For the Earlier RD03 - Part Number 030120, you need to order 'Kit 2', which is all of Kit 1, plus it has some additional parts - namely a new 'Uprated Air Ring' and locating Clip.

Xcess Billet Machined Replacement for ARB RD03 + RD56 Flange Plate - Part Numbers 020404 / 020406 - INCLUDES New Timken Bearing

For ARB RD03 and RD56 Diffs - The Xcess ARB Flange Plate. The Standard ARB 'End Flange' is a cast unit which is - well, how shall we put it ?...."Not very good" ? The CW&P bolt holes go oval or break through / crack away, the bearing journal tends to wear bearings become loose and or the casting can just plain crack into bits !

On RD03s - Part Number 020404 is wonderfully "No Longer Avaliable", and the same now for RD56 - 020406. And these are the parts that break, and as such your differential would now be sort of 'Scrap'. The 'Xcess ARB Flange Plate' will fit BOTH RD03s and RD56s ! CNC Machined out of a solid 8" billet of High Grade nickel chromium molybdenum steel (if your going to make something better - go the whole F hog lol ) oh...and heat treated. this Xcess Unit is not only thicker all over, but beefed up everywhere - like where the bolts clamp the CW - the thickness goes from circa just 1mm of casting to 3.2mm, and everything radiused for improvement of shearing issues. A seriously strong upgrade for ARBs. Xcess 4x4 Spacer Ring for 4.7 Crown Wheel and Pinions being fitted to Metric 3.54 Centres AND Ashcroft P38 ATB Fitment

Our units are made from S275 Hot Rolled Steel, then 'Ground' giving a superior super flat finish & fit, vs many of the cheap adapter plates on the market, which have a very poor surface finish, often giving run out issues. These 4.7 'Spacer Rings' are required when you fit a 4.7:1 CW&P where you then need to convert the fit to match a 3.54:1 Ratio diff centre. These change the 4.7 positioning and offset - reseting the position so it all then lines up & fits together.

We also use these on our Ashcroft ATB units being fitted into a 'Short Nose' / 'P38' Casings. However, the OD is smaller than the Ashcroft ATB OD, this is because most Ashcroft ATBs we fit we use our Pegged P38 / Short Nose Casings - which require lathe work to reduce the ATB OD to this OD to give clearance. !

'Hi Flow Planet Gear Shim Pack (Set of 4)' for Ashcroft Ashlocker & P38 Short Nose Differentials with 18mm Cross Pins

Standard Ashcroft 4 Pins or Ashlockers or the Short Nose 4 Pin 18mm Center Pin Differentials all share the same 'cheap & a tad nasty' Thrust Washer on each of the 4 Planet Gears (Pic Left).
These are 'OK', they do the job - which is to aid 'slippage' between the Differential Center and the 4 Planet Gears by having a sacrifical shim with oil on each side.

However, in heavy competition or off road use these standard shims can easily be super heated due to oil starvation and can actually damage / weld / destroy what they are designed to protect !. This occurs when high RPM and high side loadings force the oil out - and it can't get back in. .

This simple and effective upgrade via 'Hi Flow Shim Packs', (Set of 4) for the above differentials. (Pic Right) gives vastly superior protecttion, the specification and design means faster and more constant oiling to the gears and this style of Hi Flow Shim is commonplace on very high end racing differentials, and for good reason !

The kit can be purchased as either a 'DIY pack of 4' or as an upgrade when we build or rebuild either Ashclockers, Ashcroft 4 Pins or P38 Short Nose units. Ring to discuss. Ok, Not cheap, but in the overall scheme of things not a fortune either when you consider the possible damage and costs they can save.

'Solid 1 Piece 'Forged Cross Shaft' upgrade for P38 / TD5 110 Rear 'Short Nnose' 18mm Differentials

This 'Forged Cross Shaft' upgrade adds massive strength to the TD5 110 Rear 4 Pin Short Nose diff, or The P38 Unit or even a replacment in KAM Differentials.

The Standard 4 pin has 2 'Pins', both of which have a 50% scalping 'Cut Out' where they cross, weakening them considerably !! and we see them snap regularly - pretty much destroying the entire Diff !. The 'Forged Cross Shaft' is unbelivably strong - used on majority of KAM units #we have never ever seen one fail - ever. ! As you can see from the pictures - these give a huge strength increase to one of the Short Nose units achilles heels !. The Unit can be purchased either outright on a DIY basis, or as an upgrade when we build or rebuild your differential.

Used 4.1 Ratio CWP - Maker unknown ! - £150 !

Well, this is odd !.

We have purchased in a pair of unknown make of 4.1 CWPs, one has gone - here is the last of the 2 !

Its not a HD CWP - Most likely to be a Rover Umit from something, but we are just not sure what. It looks likje a standard 3.54 or 4.7 gearset, but we have triple checked and it is defo a 4.1 !. However, as a 4.1 this gives a very cheap solution for anyone looking for a upgrade to 4.1s, rather than new Ashcrofts gears at £234 for a gear, this is Just £90.

Is new better ? - Yes absolutely, but not everyone can afford the best at £234 to get a 4.1 CWP ?.
You can buy this as a DIY build, or we can build this into your chosen new differentiasl. Condition is actually quite good !

Used 3.5 REAR Ashcroft HD CWP

This is a Used 3.5 REAR Ashcroft HD CWP...and ... it's in VERY used condition. LOL

We built this up into a Used Ashlocker into a Pegged Casing ready for sale on our website, but, once all finished we stripped it down again as it was Noisey, and we frankly couldn't sell it being so OCD.

Its no weaker than a brand new unit at £234 inc Vat, just noisey. whoever built it new set it up wrong, however, this would make a great cheap HD 3.5:1 CWP upgrade to an off roader or Comp Safari truck etc (and yes you can add a 3.54 to other axle - 0.04 makes no difference in the real world) where noise is frankly irrelevent, so, here is it up for sale for just £80 + VAT a bargain if you don't care if there is some whine from the Diff when built !

ARB RD128 Copper Air Pipe Upgrade Protection Kit

The ARB RD128 Locking Differential for Land Rovers has a very very daft and very very soft 3mm Copper Air Pipe, which goes from the Air Ring on the Differentials Carrier to the outside of the differential casing - er...OVER....yes OVER the top of the Crownwheel....yup...Daft ! (with a BIG Capital 'D' ) ..... These are extremely prone to damage and chaffing, many being worn through or even ripped to bits by the crownwheel - turning the Locker into an expensive and time consuming repair job !. Even when repaired - with the replacement of the entire air ARB Coupling Pipe ( Not Cheap !), + Oil, time to refit etc, still leaves it just as prone to future damage.

This kit comprises of 2 x CNC Nitrogen Cut and CNC Folded Stainless Steel Brackets complete with Specially made P Clips, Allen Bolts, washers and Nylocs, plus a special longer Locking Pin for the Rir Ring and a set of longer Carrier Bolts.

What's REALLY good is that this Kit (Complete with simple to follow Instructions) CAN BE RETROFITTED safely without distrubing the differentials crucial 'Back Lash'. This kit not only locks the ARB Air Ring solidly in place but does the same for the Copper Pipe, making this 'Achilles Heel' of the ARB RD128 a thing of the past. ARB 5mm Air Fitting Upgrade Kit - Steel 'Swively' 5mm Push in Fitting Upgrade

The Standard 'Air Coupling Assembly' fitted to ARBs is a 'Bodgetastic El Supremo' mess Mr Heath Robinson would be proud of. This replaces the LOT. You end up with a nice simple push in (and easily removed if need be) steel swively 5mm push in fitting via a simple to DIY Fit, which once fully fitted can then angled to suit the blue air pipe work direction, and the ARB 5mm Airline just simply pushes in. Er...'Yippee' ..... This simple DIY fit 3 piece kit will upgrade either RD56 or RD128 (or other ARBs with the 3.3mm Copper thin pipe),and even RD03 early units (with a bigger air pipe - just drill out the brass union to same OD as ARB steel pipe and this then also fits that. Soooo much better !...God so much better lol

Ashlocker 6mm Air Fitting - Steel 'Swively' Upgrade Union

The Standard Air Union fitted to the Ashlocker is a Plastic Union, which can easy fracture and fail in off road situations, allowing Mud + Water to enter freely and wreck havoc inside your diff !. We have been asked by customers, and have sourced a supply of 6mm swivelly steel unions, which are a straightforward fit and upgrade. These also swivel, so they can be fully tightened and then angled to suit, and fit the standard Ashlocker 6mm air hose. These are fitted as standard to all of our Builds and Rebuilds, ......daft not to ! - However, many peeps are also fed up with the ARB 5mm pipework issues and fittings, so this kit will upgrade a RD56 and RD128 from the 'Bodgetastic ARB to a more common 6mm Unit, even RD03 early units (with a bigger air pipe - just drill out the brass union to same OD as ARB steel pipe.

KAM Differential Weld On Axle Tube Mounting Ring

The KAM Differential Lockers (both early types with long locking shafts and up to and including the last of the range the 'Quill' Locker all use a Specially made Ring which is welded to the tube. These have been NLA (no Longer Availabl;e) for some time now, and its an essential part that if you bend a Axcle tube or need one, they are impossible to buy. So, as we like these lockers so much - we have had these remade, but this time from a Higher grade of Metal - S275 Hot Rolled Sheet, and, this time in 8mm plate, and with machine tapped holes,linished and deburred for a superb fit.

Instructions will be sent as to the best way to weld these into place.One of the issues around these mounting rings was the metal was too thin (hence 8mm now) and the 6mm Allen bolts too weak allowing the bolts to shear off if the cover was really 'clouted' causing a real problem to sort - we have upgraded to 100mm thresaded bolts for extra strength - You will need to drill out your existing Aluminium cover to allow the larger bolt. Comes with 18x new Bolts too !
